Hey Garth,
I just received my 1x2 brown alligator case today and it is beautiful. The case is sturdy and not too heavy and will protect my cue extremely well. The pouch is plenty roomy and the strap will be very handy for carrying purposes. I am a little clumsy when I get something new so I am going to be careful getting the cue in & out of the case until I get used to it. The leather on the case is very impressive looking ( looks hard at a distance but has some softness to the touch). The brass latch secures the top very well but opens with ease. It has been a real pleasure doing business with you and I will recommend you to my friends. THANK YOU very much for making me a GREAT CASE.  Hi Garth,
My case arrived a little while ago and it is unbelievable! I am so pleased with it I can't begin to tell you! The construction is rock solid and so well done I almost hate to use it (But believe me I will use it)!
The additional strap for the scooter looks and works great! It is ingenious in how you designed it to "fade" into the other strap. I will update you on how it actually works on the scooter as soon as I can manage a foray to the pool hall.
You had said you would include instructions on the care of the case and I couldn't find anything? You had said to use neetsfoot oil which I will pick up this wekend. But is there anything else I should know? If there is just email me so I can properly take care of this beauty!
Thanks again! I may be having you make a single cue case for me in a little while since this one came out so beautiful.
  Thanks again,   Nick

I have an OnQ case, and I like it a lot. Their newer work is even nicer than what I have, from what I've seen.
The cues are well protected on the inside. From what I've seen of other
cases, the interior is similar in design to an Instroke, or Justis, or any of those style cases. Now, before anyone jumps on me, I understand that quality varies between a Justis, OnQ, Instroke, Etc., but I'm talking about the "style" of the interior, not the actual construction.

Thanks for the info.I think that I am going to go ahead and order one of those 2x3s.I have never saw an OnQcase from where I am from and that was one of the reasons that I wanted one.  Ruben

I ordered 2 cases from OnQ, a 2x4 and a 1x2.
The 1x2 just arrived and I am very satisfied with it as much as I was the 2x4
that have many python inlays. Some will say goddy and some won't. It's a personal preference I guess.
I do have to agree that the smaller pouch is a little tight for a hand towel
but it is designed to store smaller items like tip tools, keys, cell phones etc. and I had little difficulty removing any of these items. Anything bigger goes into the larger pouch and there were no problems there. I do however like the fact that when the pouches are empty they don't look empty and are ready to store items without having to remove any foam beforehand.  The pouches are made with several layers of double stitched leather making for a more rigid pouch that won't collapse when empty.
Attention to all stress points on the case were carefully thought out and addressed preventing failure. I see both OnQ
cases as being attractive functional cue protection that will stand the test of time and also some unintended abuse. I do like the fact that I am the only one in my area that has an OnQ case, at least for now. I'm sure that will change though before too long. ---Rich

My custom On Q Case arrived yesterday and although I almost "NEVER" write recommendations, I must proclaim that Mr. Garth Bair has absolutely out done himself with my cue case. I called him after searching for a case for many months thinking he too would be out of my price range. To my surprise his prices are very reasonable so I placed an order. Even at the time of order I was very skeptical that we weren’t actually on the same page as my verbal description to him wasn’t even clear to me. Anyway when the case arrived I was amazed to see it. Garth has to be a mind reader and somehow gathered the EXACT picture from deep within my brain. The color soft black or even a dark charcoal (not shiny), position & size of white diamond inserts are PERFECT, I also requested simple elegance and not just another “Cowboy Style”.
He not only nailed the color & style perfectly, but much to my delight the overall quality and craftsmanship is the BEST I’ve ever seen. I wouldn’t have believed that a hand made item could reach the level of a mass produced product for the price. On Q Cases are, IMHO, far superior to any other case I’ve seen and handled. The front pockets are designed and built in such a way to appear full even when empty, what a touch! The cue compartment is very strong and soft and will no doubt, do a GREAT JOB of protecting my cues. Something else I found very interesting is; my new On Q is a 3X6 and somehow has a smaller width footprint then my 2X4 Talisman and is barely a bit deeper, yet each cue inside seems to have more space in between. My On Q is a touch heavier but it holds one more butt and two more shafts and I’m convinced provides much greater cue protection. Go Figure…
My advice to anyone looking to purchase a new cue case, and is interested in having something very unique and individual is; HURRY call Garth and get your order in before he comes out of the smoke and raises his prices to match, or even exceed the other two big names making custom cases. You know who they are, and they too build a great case. Again, IMHO I believe you’ll get the most bang for your buck owning an On Q. In addition the service and overall business commitment is absolutely second to none. * * * * * 5 Stars for OnQCases. If you like, email me and I'll send you pictures. Can you tell I'm a proud owner of an On Q Case?   Douglas S.

Garth, my case arrived safely today. It is exactly what I wanted - I am 100% satisfied. I think the blue diamonds look great & the tooling work is really nice. Good work!! Thanks again, Florian

Hi,
I promised I would email you how the additional strap was working out that you added to my case for my scooter. Well so far it is working out fine. It helps secure the case and it is designed great to store it when not in use. I think you definitly have a winner of a design here!
How is my second case coming along? I know you said you wer starting to get backed up (as I figured you would) as more people talk about how they love their cases. I have had several people inquire about mine.
Thanks for a great case at an unbelievable price!! I am glad I am getting my second one before you decide to raise the prices to where they should be for such quality cases!!
  Take care and God Bless,Nick

Just a quick note to let you know I got my case and I love it. It is the most beautiful case I have ever seen and I can't wait to see it with the stand. And as you said I don't believe the quality I received for the price I paid.  Thanks, Jeff E.

dear garth
.......the case has arrived...thank you ...it's beautiful...I've been sitting here, at work ,admiring it...I think it will hold
this long butted titleist dennis dieckman cue that does'nt fit into most cases perefectly.
                                                                                                                                                                            ... many thanks v. r

I started looking for a custom case I went on the net and saw On Q  at On Q would make me a case that would
match my cue stick. So I gave Garth Bair a call and after a lenghty conversation he somehow knew what I wanted on my case without me fully explaining it to him. Once we decided what I wanted; color design etc., which by the way I had a  larger pouch made to hold my cue reach extension, I had my case in a matter of a couple of weeks.
When I opened the shipping box I was blown away at the quality of craftsmanship of the case. The custom inlays match my stick perfectly and Garth even went a step further and did an inlay on the back of my case that wasn't
on the drawing board but worked out great.
I would strongly recommend OnQcases to anyone who wants a custom cue case  for a very fair and
reasonable price.  > Kenny R., a proud owner of an OnQcase

Garth,
I got the case last night and it looks great. I put everything in it and all fits good. I will e-mail you and tell you how all is going with the case but, how can there be any problems............Later  Preston

Garth,
We have received the case and ahead of schedule too!  Your design and craftsmanship perfectly blend beauty and function.  It’s a magnificent piece that packs a wallop!  It will no doubt be the best looking case
in New York City.
Thank you…Lou T.

Dear Garth,   I am very pleased to be have one of your custom cases to carry my cues in. I am get compliments everywhere I play at in San Diego, Ca and elsewhere. The detail is super on the case people I have showed the case to love the size of the pouches, handle, and the shoulder strap. I am very happy your cases beat all the leather cases I have seen. Eric J.

Garth, I got the case today, right on schedule.  My initial reactions are very favorable.  I want to give you complete feedback, so if it's ok, I'll give you a call in abourt a week after I've had it out a few times and have worked the closure a bit.  Right away though, I can tell you the workmanship is excellent.  Look forward to talking with you. All the best, Hoot

Garth,

Just thought I'd provide you some feedback on the cue case you made for me.  This is a very sleek and retro-looking 1X2 case, with no pouches, somewhat a rarity these days.  I like it for its classic looks.  It looks like it could have been carried by Irving Crane, Willie Mosconi, or Babe Cranfield in the old days, but your workmanship is much superior.  The no-latch closure is a hit with me; it adds to the clean and classic looks of the case.  I also like the fact that the tube for the butt is a bit larger than the typical case - it fits the cues I own much better than most of today's cases.  Getting the shafts out of the case seems to be much easier than with a lot of cases too.  For anyone considering a cue case, you can deal with Garth himself, who makes the cases by hand.  Talking to and dealing with the person who makes the product is a rarity these days, and it was a very pleasant experience.  I intend to collect a few of these cases.
 All the best,  H. A.

garth,  i got the case and love it. it is exactly what i was looking for. thanks
for the wonderful work.  even the inlays are exactly what i wanted. thanks again  m.s.

Hello Garth,

Got my case Monday...sorry I took so long getting back to you.  The case is great!  I plan to go shooting soon and will probably draw lots of sharks when I walk in carrying that case! Way cool!  You do great work...and I'll be sure to recommend you to players I meet here in Tucson.  Now I just have to buy some more cues to fill it up!  SHshshsh...don't tell my wife!  LOL

Sorry for the delay in feedback on the cue case.  The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally was last week and I had a little too much fun.  I absolutely love the case.  It is everything I expected and more.  When I get some pictures taken I will email them to you.  Thanks so much for you time and great work!
